Quituinan Hill, Camalig, Albay

One of Camalig's Treashure, Quituinan Hill

You heard about historical stories of different places in Camalig. One of the historical place you can visit is the Quituinan Hill or Kitwinan. Based from the history during World War 2 the Japanese base camps were located in Quituinan Hill. It is valued because of it's high vintage point. There are 21 tunnels located and four can be explored for a historical adventure of tunnel hopping.

I was planning to go to the tunnel with my friends but the care takers didn't allow us because it's too dangerous and that time it's slippery so it might be dangerous if we go there.
In order to enjoy our escapade I just took pictures and appreciate the beautiful scenery of Mayon from Quituinan. From Quituinan you can see the view of the majestic Mayon. We had our picnic in the ground.
I really had fun climbing up the mountain from Camalig to Quituinan Hill and going back down. Going back down from the hill I witnessed the beautiful sunset.

I prepared a list of tips for you to enjoy the good vibe in Kitwinan.

6 things you must do in Kitwinan Hill

1. Climb the mountain
2. Go to the tunnel
3. Have a picnic
4. Fly kites
5. Go horseback riding on the grounds
6. Take pictures!

How to get there:

From Legazpi to Camalig (Jeep)

From Camalig Market there's a way to Kitwinan Hill you can ask for assistance or guidance from the people of Camalig.
